What this covers
This policy covers this website, run by Hlex Studios Ltd. Our games are not yet released. When each game launches, its own privacy policy will be published inside the game and on this site, and this page will link to it. The same goes for any app we release.
Who we are
Hlex Studios Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 17549587, registered office 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. We are the controller for any personal data described here. To reach us, use the enquiry form on the home page or write to us at that address.
What this site collects
Almost nothing. The site has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no cookies and no local storage. The moving pieces on the home page run entirely in your browser; what you do with them is kept nowhere.
- The enquiry form. If you use it, the name, email address and message you type are relayed to our mailbox by a form-relay service, Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which processes them only to deliver the message to us. We use them to reply to you and keep them for up to 12 months. You can write to our registered office instead.
- Physics library. The home page loads one small open-source script (matter.js) from the cdnjs content network to run the pieces on the home page. Like the fonts, that request shows cdnjs your IP address and browser details.
- Fonts. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. To serve it, Google receives your IP address and standard browser details. Google describes this in its privacy policy.
- Hosting. The company that hosts this site keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running. These are kept for a short period and not used for anything else.
Legal basis
For the enquiry form, our basis is the steps you ask us to take by writing to us, and our legitimate interest in answering (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). For server logs and the font and script requests, our basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f)). Nothing here is used to profile you or to advertise to you.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold, object to our processing, and ask for a portable copy. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local authority in the EU.
Children
This site is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone. Our games are built so that younger players see only child-safe, non-personalised ads; each game's own policy will say exactly how when it launches.
Changes
When this policy changes, the version and date at the top change with it.
